We’re looking for an experienced Lead Hardware Engineer to drive the creation of our next-generation products. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with external partners for all stages of hardware development, from initial design and engineering to final manufacturing. You will be instrumental in overseeing the hardware aspects of our plugin energy storage and virtual energy metering solutions, working closely with our product management, software engineering, and industrial design teams. Your contributions will be key to architecting systems that will make solar energy accessible to everyone.

How you will contribute

  • Algorithm Development: Design and implement advanced digital signal processing and control algorithms for our measurement systems.
  • Embedded Systems Expertise: Develop and optimize firmware for DSPs and ARM-based microcontrollers, ensuring performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate firmware into our next-generation products.
  • Innovation: Translate complex signal theory into practical, high-performance firmware solutions that enhance our patented technology.
  • Documentation & KPIs: Create clear technical documentation, processes, and results, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and improvements.
  • Validation: Drive rigorous testing and validation to guarantee accuracy, robustness, and compliance with industry standards.

What makes you a great fit

  • Possess an HTL, Bachelor, or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in digital signal processing and/or audio engineering, combined with expertise in control signal theory.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in DSP and control system development for embedded platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with DSPs and ARM MCUs.
  • Proven track record of delivering reliable, efficient, and maintainable firmware in real-world applications.
  • An independent and proactive work style, with strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a plus.

The position is available immediately. Monthly we offer € 3.341,50 gross (on a full-time basis, 38,5h). Depending on qualifications, this salary is negotiable
